Krak (DK) integrates Directory services directly into Microsoft Office XP and Microsoft Office 2003 

Krak, the leading Danish directory publisher on the Internet, has been carrying out a development project in cooperation with Microsoft Denmark and Microsoft Technology Center in UK.

The outcome of the project is that the Microsoft Office XP and the Microsoft Office 2003 version that is soon launched will include a range of Krak functionalities and also will provide access to Krak data directly from the Office Client.

- Personal information (name, address, telephone number, etc.)
- Geographical information - including maps and route plans

In order to create a broad access to these services it is our strategy to integrate our search functionalities and data in as many tools as possible that people use in their private and business lives. One important step towards achieving this goal is that we in cooperation with Microsoft have integrated Krak functionalities and data into the Office XP and the Office 2003 version - soon to be launched. This e.g. implies that Microsoft Office users directly from Outlook can:

-   Look up the exact address, telephone number and information of a company.

-   Use Krak’s data (from Krak’s Database) when inserting a new Contact in Outlook thereby avoiding to type in all information themselves.

-    Easily update obsolete contacts in Outlook Contacts via Krak’s company database.

-    Also when you book an external meeting in Outlook then the "route plan" from your company to the the meeting place is described in detail in the Outlook meeting and time is booked in the calendar for the exact transportation time.

  Krak owns the programming code for this Microsoft Office integration.
