Future of Yellow Pages Industry in the Spotlight at The Kelsey Group's Directory Driven

The Kelsey Group expects more than 400 senior executives from the global Yellow Pages industry to convene at its Directory Driven Commerce 2005 Conference (DDC2005) taking place September 27-29, 2005 at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, Denver, Colorado.

The Yellow Pages industry is coming under fire from a variety of competitors. Still, it is the most profitable advertising medium in the world, with some segments experiencing robust growth.

DDC2005 will consider the question, 'What is the future of the Yellow Pages.' The answer will encompass a range of industry trends, technological innovations and other market influences, including: Internet Yellow Pages, companion directories, user-facing advertising, brand building, enhanced content and improving the sales force.'

'Our research indicates that advertisers are leveraging new media options in order to reach consumers who are increasingly turning to the Internet to inform their shopping decisions,' said Charles Laughlin, program director for The Kelsey Report
