 | Universal Business Listing Universal Business Listing is a Charlotte-based company that, in two years of operations, has provided a service that is simple, effective and much in demand. It also has turned a 30-year-old business model on its head. UBL allows businesses to manage their online business profiles in one place. UBL then takes care of the distribution of this profile to all major search engines, online yellow pages directories, mapping sites, social networks, mobile search portals and directory service providers. The growth of mobile searches and social network location-based applications has raised the need for businesses to be accurately listed across the search industry. This enables potential customers to find the businesses they need quickly and efficiently thus resulting in enhanced sales.
The lack of total visibility has been a headache for companies large and small, as well as their interactive marketing agencies that represent them, especially when all studies show that over 40% of listings are inaccurate. UBL solves this problem.
UBL also provides enhanced details about businesses - such as description, products, photos, videos and social network links - that goes well beyond the old Yellow Pages listing model. The print and online directory industry was built on a model of database companies assembling listings from public sources and selling the aggregated data to publishers; UBL provides ALL the data for FREE to any legitimate publisher and charges a small annual fee to businesses who appreciate the massive value of, what is effectively, free advertising from broadly distributed detailed listings.
UBL is growing internationally and is also offering effective ways for businesses to monitor their online listings presence and mentions, reviews & ratings on portals and social networks.
UBL has been described as the first step to online marketing, a key to identity management online and one of the top ten things businesses need to do to promote their brand on the Web, Mobile and Social outlets. | Venyo Europe SA Improve your local search and advertising business thanks to reputation. Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are making billions with advertising. In an online world, the question for directory publishers is "how to stay the first choice in local search and advertising, both for users and advertisers ?” An efficient SEO strategy and an accurate geolocation application will not be enough to compete with the big players of the online search market. The challenge of local search is more than just finding a professional or a place near you. Nowadays consumers are looking for ratings and reviews to make more informed decisions about businesses and services in their area. But ratings and reviews are user-generated content, which is hard to manage and raises many questions: · How to get and increase the volume of ratings and reviews? · How to be sure the content is appropriate and useful? · How to manage and react to negative reviews? · How to monitor and control fraud attempts? · How much time and money will it take? Venyo developed a dedicated solution for directory publishers: a unique reputation management service to help consumers to find a reliable advertiser and to help advertisers to get high potential leads. Last but not least, the Venyo reputation management service is a new source of revenues. For more information, we look forward to welcome you to our booth #11 at EADP Congress! Venyo proposes a free online reputation management tool to offer a unified and standardized measure of each user’s personal reliability – the Vindex™ - through the evaluation of his contributions by the community. This award winning solution (Launch Pad at Web 2.0 Summit -Nov 2006 & AlwaysOn 100 at Stanford Summit - July 2007) has been developed in collaboration with the University of Geneva and the Dr Jean-Marc Seigneur, a recognized world-class expert in online reputation. Excursions

Unknown Venice
Guided tour of the unknown Venice including the churches of San Zaccaria and San Giovanni e Paolo, the house of Marco Polo and the Rialto bridge with its market.
16.09 – departure form the Hilton 14.15 – return 18.15
“TESSITURA BEVILACQUA” and workshop of Masks
Visit to a workshop where brocade is woven and to one where masks are made. The workshop « Bevilacqua » is the oldest workshop for weaving brocades, velvets and cloth in Venice. Here you will learn about the history and the technique of cloth manufacturing. The tour will continue with a walk in the neighbourhood of the Rialto bridge with its famous fish and fruit market. The tour ends with a visit to a workshop where masks are made, explaining the history, the art and the special significance of masks in Venice.
17.09 – departure form the Hilton 9.15 – return 18.15 Visit to private palace
Guided tour in the neighbourhoods of Accademia and Santo Stefano.
Private visit to the Palace Pisani Ferri, where tea or coffee will be served.
The Pisani family, known since the 12th century for its commercial activities, had substantial properties on the mainland and in Venice. Toward the end of the 16th century, Alvise Pisani, who was part of the “dal Banco” branch of the family (so called after its bank at the Rialto) left his house at Santa Maria del Giglio for a grand place he had built at Santo Stefano. Since then the family was known as Pisani di Santo Stefano. This palace, however, lacked a detail that was important to Venicians : access to the Grand Canal. This was put right in 1751, when Andrea Pisani bought the Palazzetto, which has a facade from the 17th century.
18.09 – departure form the Hilton 10.00 – return 16.00
Visit to the islands in the Venice Lagoon – Murano, Burano and Torcello
Murano is Venice in miniature, built on five little islands and with its miniature Grand Canal. In the 15th century there was a school of painting here, founded by Antonio Vivarini and the island was well known for its market gardens. But it was always the art of making glass that made the island famous. The island of Burano with its fishing village is also a centre for making lace, a popular art that developed here in the 16th century. Burano’ fish market is one of the most characteristic in the Lagoon. Torcello, which formerly had 20 000 inhabitants, can look back to a rich history. You will see the church Santo Fosca, built at the beginning of the 11th century, and the cathedral Santa Maria Assunta, first built in 639 and partially reconstructed in 1008. The cathedral of Torcello is the most important example of the Veneto-Byzantine style.
Lunch will be served in the best-known restaurant in the Venice lagoon, the “Locanda Cipriani”

IT Solutions for Tomorrow’s Business
Improved customer retention, optimized processes on an ongoing basis and an IT infrastructure that is perfectly matched to your business: These are just a few of the challenges set by communications directory publishing houses in Germany and throughout the world. Heterogeneous systems must be brought together that map different publication media to an integrated solution. To put it briefly: The workflow in the production of directories will be completely digital
To cope with these challenges, the IT2media company was founded in March 2003. As an affiliate of Müller Verlag in Nuremberg and, since January 2005, of Josef Keller Verlag in Starnberg, we operate and develop as a certified SAP partner the IT infrastructures of two of the most successful directory publishers in Germany. Our solutions are based on thirty years of experience in this business. We use market standards like SAP and Adobe and develop on this basis specific IT solutions for tomorrow's business.
Using software solutions like MediaBusinessSuite 2.0 - which is already offered as an SAP-Certified Integration solution - and specialist systems like TelNet++ as well as ad design tools for media consultants, has yielded a software and services package for directory publishers that is based on standard software components and offers a global solution for manufacturing communications directories. The software solution supports the production processes, the handling of the entire life-cycle of both the electronic and print products and also the administration of an extensive amount of asset data.
Together with its Leipzig and Munich sites, IT2media employs a total of approximately 135 staff members in the following business areas: - Publishing systems for directory publishers and catalogue publishing - Online directory and information solution - mySAP ERP®/mySAP Media - Cross MediaPublishing - Mobile systems for the field sales force - IT services focussing on media - Print Services - digital print centre
