Tupam Editores was established in 1977 and pioneered the publication of scientifically indexed Directories (multi cross referenced indexes) in Portugal with the edition of its first title (bi-annual), in the Health area, the 'Índice® Nacional Terapêutico' (table format) in 1978.

Keeping pace with technological advances the Índice® is also published in pocket size since 1986, in the Internet and CD-ROM since 1998, to PDA's (Palm and Pocket PC) and GSM phones (WAP) since 2001 and to Smartphones and DVD since 2004.

Tupam's mission is to offer professionals the most up to date, rigorous, complete and scientifically indexed Reference Works. Today, faithful to its principles, Tupam Editores keeps developing the services delivered by its Directories, which are References in their fields.
